It happens every morning. I wake up, I rush to get ready and eat breakfast, and then... I sit there doing nothing until it's time to leave for the bus. There's many other (more productive) things I could be doing right now, but instead, I decided to write a blog post and feel like I'd accomplished something.
Annika is finally getting better after a trip to the emergency room that included barfing out her antibiotics and a fever of 104 (I think). Lauren and I both had to go to school yesterday- and yes, I did finish all that homework.
Sitting by the window always reminds me of why I love it here in October. It's not too cold, but not too hot, and I can watch the sunrise BEFORE I get to school, as opposed to during school in the winter months. I can still go outside in shorts and a t-shirt if I want to, but it's not uncomfortable to wear pants and a light sweater (believe me, my classrooms feel like the north pole on Christmas Eve).
Having more time in the mornings is lovely, even if I do feel like I should be sleeping instead. Love you all!

Sick
It seems that whenever we get sick here, we all get sick. I'm home sick writing this, along with Lauren and Annika.
The thing is, we're all sick with different things, so what worked for one does not work for the others, and we all have different energy levels. I'm doing homework (so much to do!!), Lauren's reading (but would rather be sleeping), and Annika is lying comatose in front of the TV. She's probably watched the same Scooby Doo episodes 12 times this week.
Who will be struck down next? My money's on Brigitta.

Summer :D
Ah, the sweet smell of summer... or should I say sweat? Here in Arizona, if you're outside, you're sweating. It's not even a question anymore. That's probably why our family enjoys road trips so much. Going somewhere that's only in the 90s is like visiting heaven.
So for our vacations this summer, we're going to Oregon, Provo, and Nauvoo. We're going to have so much fun!! We leave for Oregon this Friday to go see Dad's parents and our friends the Crawfords. And guess what... I get to drive!!! So if you live anywhere near where we'll be driving... I'd suggest staying off the roads. ;)
Where are you guys going for your summer vacations?

Star Wars
As some of you may know, us Tifft girls are currently interested in (read: obsessed with) Star Wars. How we didn't discover it earlier is beyond me. Anyways, I feel that Star Wars is more than just an entertaining movie. It also teaches us. Some of the morals: Things aren't always as they seem, Good always triumphs over evil, and you should always listen to the wise old dude- even if you're a teenager who thinks they know everything. Trust me, you don't. The old guy does. Always.
As for things to be obsessed with, this is not one of the bad ones. Also, having all of us obsessed with the same thing= sister bonding time. YAY! We girls have so much fun with our lightsabers- I don't believe for a second anyone that says Star Wars is a boy thing. It's for anyone who wants to like it.

Thanksgiving!
Ah, Thanksgiving. The time of year when we count our blessings, gather with family, and gorge ourselves full of delicious food. What a beautiful time of year.
So, since this is a time for giving thanks, lets make a list of all that we're grateful for:
Family
The Atonement
Friends
Church
Our Homes
Education
Our Church Leaders
Music
Birthdays
Thanksgiving Dinner :)
That's far from a comprehensive list, but, hey, it's a start.
What are you thankful for?
Love you all,
Kristen

The Sound of Music
Musical Theater: Something so prevalent in our home, you can't go a day without hearing about it.
As mentioned in the last post, Lauren, Brigitta, and I are all in the Sound of Music, an amazing play that we all absolutely loooove. So, if you want to buy tickets (of course you do!), contact Mom (Laurie) and she will get you some. The performance dates are October 22, 23, 25, 28, 29, and 30. The shows are at 7:30, BUT there are two matinées on the 23 and 30th, should you wish to attend at 2pm instead. The tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for Students and Seniors. If you come the 25th, you only pay $10! I think it would be a great family home evening activity, so you should come. ;)
Love ya all,
Kristen

Hey Everybody!
Hello Everybody!
Sorry I haven't been doing well on keeping the blog updated. BUT I have decided to work harder on doing that. :)
Right now, Lauren, Brigitta and myself are all in The Sound of Music. I'm a nun, Lauren is in the ensemble, and Brigitta is doing Shooting Stars.
All of us girls, except Maria, started school just over a month ago. School has been pretty good to all of us so far. I started my Sophomore year of High School, and it has been going wonderfully. My favorite classes so far are Seminary (no duh) and Chamber Choir. We actually have a baritone section this year! 0_0
ANYWAYS, life is pretty good so far. I'm reading the Doctrine and Covenants (since we're studying it in Seminary), and the Book of Mormon, as always :).
Luv ya all!

Awsome Music
In case you haven't noticed the two... music thingys on the sidebar (Adam Kump and Sam Fleming), you should listen to them. Sam's is Piano Music, and Adam's is Indie. They're both really good, and both in my stake.
Another (real) update coming soon!!!!
Luv Ya All,
Kristen

Hi
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
So anyways, we all had a really good Christmas in the Tifft family residence. The four 'big' girls got a wii, maria got a rocking horse, and mommy got a roomba. Mommy and Daddy also got a camera! We got a lot of other stuff too, but i won't go into detail.
We're having a New Years party on new years eve from 8-12:15, and everbodys invited!!! Just bring a snack to share!
Today mom and the girls went shopping at the mall! We went to bath and body works, the disney store, build a bear, and claires, and had lunch at the food court.

It was quiet - too quiet. We left Maria in her crib a little too long one morning when we were doing yardwork. Hey, she wasn't crying! Anyway, when we went in to check on her, her diaper was off and she had fingerpainted the whole crib, the wall, and her whole body (note the poop mustache!) She had a good time that day!
